The internet can be a really wonderful place to learn new things and meet incredible people but sometimes it can leave you forgetting about the person behind the keyboard and what else is going on in their life. I wrote the first blog post for this website in Jan 2021, left it for quite a while before finally clicking the scary publish button in Feb. But you might notice that there have been no other posts published since then and we're already well into September.
I really enjoy writing, I find it quite a nice way to relax to release all the thoughts running through my brain. But I’m often not very good at sharing it with other people even though I would love to get some discussions with others around topics that I could talk about for hours. Usually this means that I don’t share some of the projects that I’ve been working on or some of the things that I’ve learned from those experiences. Other times, things get in the way and I need to take a step away from the screen and look after myself, a lesson that I learned the hard way about recently.
So, why am I writing this and what does it have to do with STEM education, cool robots or coding?
There has been quite a big gap in time since my first introduction post and I just want to acknowledge that’s okay, it’s been a busy few months and it hasn’t been the easiest of months either. So for anyone who needs to hear it, it’s okay if you have days where you are struggling or feel like you haven’t gotten everything ticked off your to do list. You can’t run at 200% every single day and not get a low battery. Be kind to yourself!
